We made it to Month 09, haha! Three squishy quarters down, one squishy to go. Oh my!
So many updates from this last month. We have an almost crawler. We’re so close! Squish shimmies to and fro while on his tummy to reach for toys or for hugs. Tim and I think probably by the end of this month Squish’ll be a crawling demon which is giving us no small amount of anxiety. We now need to be more serious about baby-proofing our home, yet another reminder that our child has taken over our world.
We think Squish is starting to drop his third nap. I don’t know if I’m ready for this change, to be honest. I like to try to nap when he does, so him dropping one means I’ll need to drop one, too. The pro is that he goes to bed earlier. The con is that he also wakes up earlier. Why, oh, why is our son a morning person? Yup, definitely takes after Tim and not I.
Squish is now a pro at airline travel. He likes to people watch, so the airport is the perfect place for him. We’ve traveled twice already with quite a few more trips planned through the summer. Tim and I almost have our airport routine down, but Squish likes to keep us on our toes and has thrown a few epic tantrums while on the plane. I don’t think Tim and I are more a team than when we’re both trying to desperately soothe and shush our baby on a plane. We need to research more on baby travel hacks because our usual tricks don’t seem to cut it when Squish is being especially squishy on a flight.
Month 09, here we are! Squish, you’re turning more into you by the day. We can’t wait to see who you’ll be tomorrow. xo, Mommy & Daddy
